Touching Down

For our inaugural exhibition on Tecumseth Street in Toronto, we take a moment to consider both landing in a new space and joining a community. Art spaces at their best hold ground lightly, make room for new voices, and resist the tendency to calcify into institution. Some of the most important art spaces have been provisional — storefronts, temporary residencies, borrowed rooms — and to be provisional is not to be incomplete or uncommitted, it is instead to be ready – alert, responsive, and bringing what is needed. It is in this spirit that we touch down in Toronto. Please join us.
