Barb Choit is a contemporary artist based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her practice is primarily focused on photography. Key themes of interest across her work include the circuits of advertising, foreign artifacts, and the excess of expensive yet perishable items such as flowers and food. Many of Choit’s artworks investigate the way that art history and advertising can merge through the photographic image.
